T-T transfers: Buck stops at CM office

LUCKNOW:The controversy surrounding transfers of 418 Trade Tax department employees and their unprecedented reinstatement is taking on yet another hue as allegations have now surfaced that the entire drama may be centred on foul play by an official in the chief minister''s secretariat.
The department is rife with speculations that an influential trader in Kanpur and aligned with the Samajwadi Party had exercised a strong influence on preparation of the list recommending 8-9 names for transfer.
